What To Expect Your First Time Wedding Dress Shopping

If this is your first time wedding dress shopping, there are a few things you should do to prepare for your visit. First, do your homework. Search online to figure out what styles you like. Are you thinking mermaid or A-line? Are you drawn to lace or do you prefer a more smooth material? Even if you don’t end up purchasing the dress you had in mind, it is still a good idea to search the web first so that you’re not overwhelmed when you come for your visit. Be open to trying on styles you never thought you would like, but keep in mind that it’s okay to tell us when a dress doesn’t feel right. We want you to feel your best on your special day so if it doesn’t feel right, don’t be afraid to point us in a different direction.

It is also important to set a budget. If you don’t have a budget, great! But if you do, it is important to set that budget in your mind and stick to it. And let us know your budget right away so that we don’t suggest dresses that are not within that budget. 

Lastly, we suggest bringing a small but supportive group of friends or family. It is always so much fun to share this experience with your loved ones but remember that the more people you bring, the more opinions you will have to sift through. The last thing we want you to feel is overwhelmed so be sure that you bring a small group of people you really trust and feel comfortable with. Dress shopping is such a special experience but be sure that the amount of people you bring will not be overwhelming for you. 

The most important thing you need to do is relax and get excited! If you’re relaxed, you will absolutely find the right dress for your unique shape!
